"Interns play an important role in keeping the offices running smoothly.  This internship offers a unique perspective on the inner workings of Congress and a Congressional Member’s Office. Duties may include assisting legislative staff members with research projects, attending legislative hearings and community meetings, drafting and editing written materials, and performing administrative tasks such as mail processing, data entry, answering telephones, and assisting staff when needed."
