Office Intern Description
"Interns in both our Washington DC, and Somerville, NJ offices can expect to play a vital role in office operations serving as a first point of contact for constituents answering phones, drafting letters, providing tours of the capitol, and supporting constituent outreach events in the district. All interns can expect to participate in professional development opportunities, observe staff and stakeholder meetings, attend hearings and briefings on a variety of subjects, provide staff support to the congressman at events, and other tasks as assigned. We request that applicants have at least 15-25 hours of availability per workweek. Priority consideration will be given to constituents of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, as well as students in their junior or senior year of college. No prior experience necessary. In your cover letter please include your availability, and indicate your need for financial assistance, if any."
